Soon, their lips met. Adrien started thinking about what Marinette had just said, he could understand why she was shy about letting her parents know about them being a couple. Even if they had acknowledged their feelings for a long time, it was still new to them to officially be together. But he longed for the day when she didn't have to wait for them to be alone to show affection like this, that she could feel safe about it in public. His mind locked onto that word, "safe". Suddenly, he understood why. He remembered the day when he found out about the safe behind the painting of his mother; where he found the spell book, a photo of his mother and... a Peacock themed brooch. He pulled back from the kiss which he wished wasn't necessary, but the matter was urgent. They had to be quick.
