It was a late winter evening, the moon was shining in a clear and starry sky. In the shadows of the buildings surrounding the Place des Vosges walked a woman dressed in warm clothing. When she reached the door leading to the apartments above the bakery at the end of the street, she placed down a backpack she had with her and opened it up. She then kissed the forehead of her beloved baby girl before placing her down in the backpack. She seemed to know the residents of the building and knew that she could trust them with her child. She left a letter in the bag before walking towards a suitable hiding place where she could wait and be sure that her daughter gets found by the residents. Luckily, Marinette was just around the corner.

Author's note:
Hi! So... I'm not completely done with the story yet, but I made this prologue to officially announce the sequel. I have a lot of homework to catch up on (like three tests and five tasks or so), so the next page might not be posted very soon. It might take a couple of weeks or so.
This story will most likely be... maybe twice as long as "Volpina's Hoax". And it has a much better story. I really hope you will like it.
